Angus Cook

This catalogue, an artist's book designed by Matthew Barney and Elizabeth Peyton, documents their Blood of Two exhibition at the DESTE Foundation's project space on the Greek island of Hydra (a slaughterhouse, a mysterious yet evocative location), in the summer of 2009. A written piece by Angus Cook is complemented by documentary photographs of the production and installation of the exhibition, as well as images of the opening day procession at sunrise, which lead visitors to the work of art. The exhibition marks the first occasion in which Barney and Peyton have collaborated. English and Greek text.

After 2005, before 2012 is a major new publication surveying the work of Sarah Lucas from 2005 (the date of her existing catalogue raisonné) to 2011, when she had major solo exhibitions at Two Rooms, Auckland, New Zealand, and Kunsthalle Krems, Austria. The book traces the development of several important bodies of work, from the Penetralia series begun in 2008 - a series of totemic sculptures responding to the landscape of Suffolk - to the recent series of NUDS sculptures, consisting of nylon tights stuffed with fluff and fashioned into ambiguous biomorphic forms. The book includes a series of interviews between Lucas and artists, curators, writers and friends.
