In 2014 schreef Dalilla Hermans een open brief over racisme met als titel 'Ik ben het beu om te doen alsof het allemaal wel meevalt'. Haar brief ging viraal en Dalilla werd een van de meest inspirerende en constructieve stemmen in het debat over racismebestrijding.0Meer dan vijf jaar lang heeft ze op de barricades gestaan en dat eist zijn tol, want die jaren gingen gepaard met heel wat tegenwind. Met dit boek wil Dalilla Hermans nog enkele laatste woorden kwijt over het thema. Daarna wil ze de microfoon liever doorgeven.
