Die Konferenz in Sankt Petersburg war der Frage der Einheit und Vielfalt der Kirche nach den Zeugnissen des Neuen Testaments gewidmet. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt auf Beitragen zum Verstandnis der Eucharistie und der Mission in ihrer Bedeutung fur die Einheit der Kirche. Daneben werden weitere historische und theologische Fragen zur neutestamentlichen Ekklesiologie sowie wirkungsgeschichtliche Aspekte des Themas behandelt. Zu allen Themenbereichen werden Beitrage aus orthodoxer, katholischer und evangelischer Perspektive geboten.Die Symposien von orthodoxen und 'westlichen' (evangelischen und katholischen) Neutestamentlern werden seit 1998 durchgefuhrt und widmen sich methodischen und hermeneutischen Grundfragen der biblischen Exegese. Sie dienen der Kontaktaufnahme und Kooperation zwischen Wissenschaftstraditionen der biblischen Exegese, die bisher weitgehend voneinander isoliert waren.

The present volume contains the proceedings of the Seventh International East-West Symposium of New Testament Scholars in Moscow 2016. Its contributions are devoted to different aspects of the question of the relation between history and theology in New Testament and extracanonical Gospel literature. They deal with problems regarding the impact of critical historical approaches for New Testament theology, the relation between the Gospels' claim for truth and historical facts, Orthodox receptions of the Gospel literature, and the presentation of "the" Gospel in Byzantine liturgy.

English summary: This collection of articles is the result of an international symposium in Eisenach 2003 dealing with the New Testament and Philo as two important sources for Hellenistic Judaism in the 1st century AD. Specialists in Philo and the New Testament treat common subjects in both literary corpora showing the advantage of involving Philonic studies in the New Testament and vice versa. The symposium is part of the research project Corpus Judaeo-Hellenisticum Novi Testamenti which works on embedding the New Testament in its Jewish-Hellenistic context. German description: Der Band gibt die Ergebnisse eines internationalen Symposiums wieder, das im Rahmen des Projekts Corpus Judaeo-Hellenisticum Novi Testamenti im Mai 2003 in Eisenach und Jena stattfand. In ubergreifenden Standortbestimmungen (u.a. durch Greg L. Sterling u. L. Hurtado) wird grundlegend das Verhaltnis von Philo und dem Neuen Testament reflektiert.In den Einzelbeitragen, die mehrheitlich die Form von Paar-Vortragen aufweisen, nehmen Philo-Spezialisten und Neutestamentler aus wechselseitiger Perspektive heraus u.a. zu Fragen der Inspiration, Mystik, Logos-Theologie und Anthropologie im Werk Philos bzw. einzelner neutestamentlicher Schriften Stellung. Ein Schwerpunkt der Aufsatze liegt auf den paulinischen Briefen, daneben stehen Beitrage zur Apostelgeschichte, dem 1.
