Wendy vivait avec ses parents, ses deux petits frères et son chien dans une belle et grande maison. Un soir, alors que les enfants venaient de se coucher, un petit garçon entra par une fenêtre. Effrayée, la mère de Wendy parvint à enfermer l'ombre du garçon dans un tiroir. Mais sa comparse, la fée Clochette, ne tarda pas à le libérer. C'est ainsi que, le lendemain, Wendy fit sa rencontre... EXTRAIT La famille Darling vivait dans une belle grande maison. Cette famille était composée des parents, de la fille aînée Wendy, de ses deux petits frères John et Michael, et de la chienne Nana. Un soir, un étrange petit garçon entra par la fenêtre en volant. Madame Darling, surprise, poussa un cri. Aussitôt, Nana se précipita sur l’intrus, mais elle ne put attraper que l’ombre du jeune garçon qui s’enfuyait. Celle-ci se détacha et madame Darling la rangea dans un tiroir. Mais, le jeune garçon volant était toujours accompagné d’une toute petite fée qui s’appelait Clochette. Celle-ci vit où Madame Darling déposait l’ombre de son ami. Le lendemain soir, alors que Monsieur et Madame Darling étaient absents, le garçon et la petite fée revinrent et entrèrent dans la chambre de Wendy. Celle-ci se réveilla et demanda : " Qui es-tu et que fais-tu ici ? " " Je m’appelle Peter Pan et je suis venu récupérer mon ombre qui s’est détachée de mon corps ! ", dit le jeune garçon. Wendy alla la chercher et la recousit aux pieds de Peter Pan.
