Despite being the third largest economy in Southeast Asia, Malaysian entrepreneurial activity is under-reported in the scholarly literature. This book extends such research by examining the impact of entrepreneurship on its economy and evaluating the existing systemic problems. The Malaysian economy has benefited from the density of knowledge-based businesses and utilization of the latest technologies in the manufacturing and digital economies. However, Malaysia faces ongoing challenges, namely concentration of wealth in the city, high regional unemployment and workplace gender inequality. In regional areas, there is an over-reliance on agriculture and necessity based entrepreneurship. Consequently, entrepreneurial activity has been encouraged with the creation of eco-systems, seed corn funding and provision of entrepreneurship education to offer entrepreneurial career choices. Providing recommendations and best practice for driving entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial behaviours, this contributed volume presents the first opportunity to reflect on both the success stories and systemic problems related to effective entrepreneurial behaviour in a South East Asian context.

The Coast to Coast Walk

This new title is the latest in an improved series of Paul Hannon's walking guides. A range of enhancements see the out of print title 'Howardian Hills' completely re-walked and updated. The addition of a rich spread of walks from around the spacious Vale of York embraces a more extensive geographical spread in the heart of the county. New additions include riverside walks at Tadcaster, Boroughbridge and Cawood, gentle strolls at Beingbrough Hall and Skipwith Common, while the opening walk includes the classic circuit of York's medieval walls. All but one of the walks is within twenty miles of York itself. In addition to being far more visually appealing than their predecessors, with the use of colour throughout and a more modern house style, these new titles feature a lower cover price than the old series. Also, the 'Walking Country' is replaced by 'Walking in Yorkshire', to give a stronger, recognisable identity. This book provides 25 enjoyable outings amid a rich variety of scenery. A collection of over 50 colour photographs depict features and landscapes along the routes, while the concise route descriptions are complemented by a wealth of background information.

This new title is one of the first two in an updated series of Paul Hannon's 'Short Scenic Walks' guidebooks. The principle feature is that all walks are less than five miles in length, offering a perfect half day's stroll for families, casual walkers and all who want to enjoy a leisurely exploration of Britain's outstanding country landscapes. A range of enhancements include a wider geographical spread, in this case merging - with full revision - two popular titles which are now out of print. The walks start from such places as Harrogate, Knaresborough, Pateley Bridge and Ripon, and include such iconic landmarks as How Stean Gorge, Brimham Rocks, Studley Royal, Almscliff Crag, the Nidd Gorge and the Washburn Valley. In addition to being more visually appealing than their predecessors, with a more modern house style, this new series offers 30 walks rather than 20, and these more substantial books feature a full spine rather than wire-stitched binding. Over 30 colour photographs depict features and landscapes along the routes.
