I Am Angry Today

'Hor' is both a novel and a book-length prose-poem. Based on the most sacred of ancient Egyptian texts, it tells the story of the journey of the sun-god, Re, through the Underworld towards the dawn. Woven into this central theme are the mysteries of the ancient mythology as recorded in such texts as the Book of the Dead and the Book of Caverns from the tomb of the pharaoh, Rameses VI.

Jake Crabtree is an unwilling volunteer for his granddad’s inventions. They’re supposed to cure the twelve-year-old of his stammer, but more often than not he’s lucky to escape with all of his limbs intact. He has an accident at a local science fair when his secret formula spills onto his neighbour’s harmless picnic basket. This creates a creature that starts to abduct the villages of Little Codswallop, replacing them with not so perfect copies. Jake and his family have to come up with a plan to stop the man-eating picnic basket taking over the planet. And try to avoid Granddad’s crazy inventions.

In the last two years my good friend and former pro wrestler advisory Adrian Street has published five separate additions of his totally enjoyable autobiography. Eddie Rose again a former middleweight ring rival has also published his excellent memoir in recent years. Now I am launching mine. It tells the story of my twenty, largely enjoyable years in the ring, warts and all. Nothing has been omitted or redacted! Sadly serious injury cut short my time and my momentum building career! Shortly thereafter British Style TV Performances were withdrawn due to falling viewing figures. This as time has shown resulted in the rise of the American Hollywood Style and the inevitable demise of the domestic sport I loved. My opus gives the reader my candid views and opinions on why our sport got to that low point and what could and should have been done to arrest that totally avoidable decline. British Professional Wrestling was once unique, the envy of the world! Now rather sadly we just imitate the American Style! Dale Storm
