Youba Sokona

Youba Sokona FAAS FTWAS (born 23 May 1950) ) is a Malian expert in the fields of energy and sustainable development, particularly in Africa. He has been the vice-chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) since October 2015 and has been the lead author of the IPCC since 1990.
