ok... I'll continue at least the second volume just to understand a little bit more about this world, but wow... that was.. like... I can't even... 

what was I thinking when I gave this 4 stars??? 



so many unnecessary scenes, gore elements for shock value only, the pacing it's just ok (we can see much improvement in CSM), but it also has tons of cheesy lines here... A lot of boring characters too, clichés everywhere! Why so many rape attempts?!!! WHY?! We get it the first time, Fujimoto, these guys are like super evil or some shit! just calm the fuck down... geez. 
 
Overall, in this volumes I felt like fujimoto is trying too hard to be egdy and these characters are super shallow but I liked the analogies with the names Agni, San, Luna and Judah.. although I believe it's just for the aesthetics of it.

this story proves anything can serve as character motivation. As long as it makes sense to the character, it will make sense for the reader. I can understand who decides to stop it here but for me, the tree girl *spoiler* made everything better.  It's refreshing, to say the least, having a manga that tries to go this big with such simple motivations and for me, it works.
