           I wish the manga didn’t end on the childhood best friend. Considering his minor role in the story, the final 2 chapters felt anticlimactic.

Instead, I wish it could have ended on Punpun waking up in his hospital bed; his face and real name finally exposed as a symbol of him actualising his self-worth after years of trauma. Plus some prison time. That would’ve been perfect. Also wasn’t a fan of the occultist subplot. If Seki wasn’t involved, I would’ve skipped those chapters fully. 

But for final thoughts, it’s said that OP can either cure or worsen someone’s depression. I’ve never had depression, but despite the tragic story told, I somehow feel more inspired to live my life now that I’ve finished it. I hope future readers will feel the same way. 4.3??/5 stars.

(Also the art was fantastic ok bye)
