I guess I'm back to my previous self. I just read 14 volumes from 11 pm to 4 am last night/earlier. I remember reading the first six or seven volumes of Tsubaki-chou when it was first released, but it was still ongoing at the time, so when life happened I had to stop reading. I recently discovered that it has been completed, so of course I told myself I could start reading a volume or two last night and then go from there. 

I ended up finishing the whole thing. Mika Yamamori's art is as gorgeous as ever. I really like Akatsuki because I'm just a sucker for mysterious, private characters. Also he's reflective and his lines when he gets even the slightest bit emotional adfjaldf. I don't like Fumi as much but I also didn't expect as much from her (the age gap is 12). I admire her for being so responsible and independent though. Plus, the food she cooks <3 

Anyway, I still enjoyed this a lot despite the typical shoujo tropes. I just wish the side characters had more chapters devoted to them. I really like Isshin Aioi who is far more mature than Akatsuki at times! I should stop rambling but read this if you're just getting started with shoujo manga and you want something sweet and fluffy :) If you want something more complex, you can try Hirunaka no Ryuusei from the same mangaka.
