I was one of the most beautiful written books about meaning of life for me. It tells us about how Tolstoy suffer from living a meaningless life. It was relatable in many aspects. Why we are alive? Is there a God? What is the truth? Behind all of this questions, we have more idea about his mindset. Melancholy, death, religion, philosophy... It has quotes from famous philosophers like Schopenhauer and Socrates. It is about Tolstoy's journey to find a way in his life to survive. He questions aim of the life. While reading the book, it meant so much to me. It helped me to admit that I need a belief.

All the awesome novels make sense now. I have learnt a few things about Tolstoy's journey on earth, and it is pretty obvious that only him can write with such an ease about soul matters. I am struck by the lucidity with which he detailed accounts about his spiritual and also psychological states and struggles.
