Lucia is a small-town girl who feels trapped in her average life. At least until her ex-boyfriend's car comes crashing through the gas station where she works with his dead body in the front seat. While the cops suspect suicide, she finds evidence in her emails from him that the criminals he worked for wanted to kill him. As she and her state-trooper boyfriend race to unravel who is behind the threats and attempts on her life, she has to come to grips with the pain of her past and the hope in her future.
