I've also read Pink's book When and this book while being a little bit out dated was also really interesting. Some of his claims in the face of AI staring down humanity and ready to punch it out really don't hold much muster now. At the same time, the points are still valid in some ways and still valuable for becoming a better person. The ideas of drawing, narrative, and work as art are important. Changing your perspective is big these days. I'd love to see an updated version in the wake of AI and what it means for humanity, as the author claims that all these jobs are sourced out to India, well now what?

I also felt that the book gave a lot of great context and suggestions for how to capitalize on right-brained thinking in the new "conceptual age" he describes the western world to be in.
