I like this VA's better and the plot and smut was sooo good. The story line goes very well together but you can read it from Book 2 onwards as a series. Book 1 is becoming irrelevant here, but idk if it'll change with the other books.

This is one of the better ones in this series for me, mostly because I liked the dynamic between these two more and I appreciate a dom who isn’t afraid to be gentle and playful when appropriate. 

Still a pretty thin plot but nice spicy scenes. Not all of their kinks were my kinks but that’s par for the course.

 is a continuation of the Wicked Villains series. I have really gotten a kick out of this series, and seeing the villains of these stories become the heroes and the heroes become the villains. It definitely has a more erotic romance feel to these stories so fair warning that there is plenty of outer involvement in the sex scenes that come into play here. But I am sure plenty of those familar with the series are well aware of it. But keep in mind upon reading this because that might not be for everyone. 



I don’t believe in knights on white horses. Maybe I did once, but the only people out there searching for damsels in distress are more dangerous than anything said damsel leaves behind.

 is a story that I desperately fell hard for. This is the romance between Tink and Hook and our villain of the story is of course "Peter". Tink was once held captive by Peter and managed to get out and made a five year contract with Hades. She is a natural submissive and worked the Underworld within her natural instincts. But now its the end of her contract and Hades is kicking her out. Tink is then confronted by Peter on Hades own territory and knows she is in danger and she runs to the only person that offered her aid....Hook. Hook has his own ambitions in wanting to marry Tink, but part of that is wanting her completely. But Tink is a woman he will have to fight tooth and nail in order to win her trust and heart....



Do I truly want a share of that burden, even if the potential outcome is everything I’ve been too afraid to reach for on my own? A home. A family. The kind of safety I’m not sure I believe in any more.

 is a mix of enemies to lover/unrequited love in a way. Hook has always had an affection for Tink, but Tink has never come to trust him because she doesn't trust her heart or body around him. I really loved the sexy bantering that comes in between these two. Hook though definitely knows his way around a woman's body and makes sure that Tink knows of that. He does get pretty creative in their first "scene" together and I really liked the players that we see (that are in the future books of the series -which I honestly can't wait to get my hands on) but finding his way to Tink's Heart isn't going to be so easy. There are other factors involved, but I love the way Hook is with Tink. She can be pretty "mean" at times, but he tends to be amused by her antics. I definitely loved seeing their unique dynamics grow within their relationship. I never thought I wanted or needed a Hook/Tink romance but this author didn't disappoint in bring about a lovely story to light. 



No, Tink. I don’t think you’re safer anywhere more than you are with me. Because I know for a fact that I’ll do whatever it takes, no matter the cost, to keep you that way.



Overall I found A Worthy Opponent to be a steamroller of a romance, a unique play on the fairy tale, that is sexy and fiery sweet in its intensity and will leave you on the edge with a hint of suspense. A GRAVITATING READ!



 



All the stories end with the villain vanquished and the happy couple riding off into the sunset. That’s what happily ever after is. They never have to work on their relationship, never have to get their hands dirty when facing the challenges living a full life creates. They’re caught in stasis, without conflict, without problems, without life. That’s no way to live

           Me ha gustado bastante la trama. Tink teniendo que escapar de Peter y Hook ayudándola me pareció muy bonito. No me terminó de convencer lo del matrimonio “forzado”, pero me alegré que él no la obligara a hacer nada y le diera su tiempo para asumir el cambio, sin presionarla mucho. Me gustó que su relación se construyera poco a poco y al final ella decidiera quedarse con él por amor y no por obligación.

Flaming hot marriage of convenience kinky romance. All the stars for the emotional development and sex scenes and honestly I could care less about the mob bosses and the politics of Carver City. This series is one-handed reading time goodness and it is fun to have the familiar characters in this made up world. 

I definitely felt plopped in to the middle of something I didn't quite understand, perhaps because I did not read the second book in the series. The ending was super abrupt, but again, I'm not here for the plot and Roberts' character building shines. For a premise that Hook was not going to have sex with Tink until she said yes to forever, I felt like that promise of edging didn't really pan out haha. Glorious banging all around.

           Love Tink and Hook! Their relationship was absolutely amazing!! Hook seeming like such a badass but actually being a huge humanitarian for his territory. And think trying top adjust and accept her past and hope for something better but for real now. Love them!

It pains me to give this such a low rating but I really just did not enjoy Tink or Hook’s characters. Their story was bland except for the sex, and since I’ve fallen out of love with BDSM, that didn’t work for me either. It took me forever to get into the story and if I’m being honest, I don’t think I ever did get invested at all. I’m not sure I should continue with this series? I did enjoy book 1 but mostly for the novelty and uniqueness of romances with Disney villains.

I am REALLY enjoying the Wicked Villains books! I love seeing the classic characters and their HEAs flipped on their heads and dragged through the dirt. I particularly enjoyed the after-care scenes in this one for some reason. I guess that's just where I'm at mentally rn lol. The Scenes in this one were all hot as fuck and the wedding present was... unf *chef's kiss*.
