as cozy as miss marple gets! definitely should have read this before the body in the library but a great break nonetheless from the feature length mysteries. so robust for a short story collection! i love a club ! i love miss marple endlessly surprising everyone ! an important read to really cement the connection between miss marple and sir henry

When The Murder at the Vicarage was published in October 1930, little did the literary world realise that Agatha Christie, already famous for her early Poirot titles, was introducing a character who would become the best-loved female sleuth of all time. The 14 Marple books would appear at intervals over the next 49 years, with Miss Marple's Final Cases published in 1979, three years after Agatha's death.            A group of people exchanging mystery stories at night, trying to figure out what took place, seemed quite interesting to me. 

I find it hard to satisfy myself 100% with story collections - there will always be a few stories I enjoy more than others. This book is a good read, all things considered. Every story has a unique plot and interesting characters. It keeps you guessing until the end and is a great way to pass time.

Even though I like the character of Miss Marple, I don’t like short stories. I’m discovering that Agatha Christie is also not really my thing. The interactions between the friends were enjoyable, but the mysteries weren't. I could not focus on most of them because my mind wandered. I think I prefer longer books that allow me to really get into the characters and the story. Not only that, but I also prefer to take my time solving the mystery, instead of being rushed.

A story should allow me to enjoy the journey rather than being abruptly dropped off at the end. Shorter stories often rush the plot, making it difficult for readers to appreciate the characters and the story.

It was my first time reading Miss Marple, so I was a little disappointed.

Oh this was sooooo good!!
I believe that Christie gives her best in the short stories with Miss Marple, who I love. I just love how she isn’t even making an effort to solve a case, she just understands immediately.
I adore how she always draws parallels to some apparently meaningless events that occurred in her village.

I think no story jumps to mind as the most impressive, they are all quite calm, rural stories with not much thrill, but they are so well-explained and the resolution is always surprising.

Who doesn't love a good Miss Marple Mystery from the iconic Agatha Christie? Christie is one of the most beloved writers in class literature and with good reason--she had a way with words that kept her readers inching forward on the seat; all but pressing their noses against the pages of her books in their suspense. 2017 has, for whatever reason, brought Christie's works back into my day-to-day life (and general reading goals) and The Tuesday Club Murders is one of those rare collections by Agatha Christie that I had yet to read.

Miss Marple is one of the most fascinating fictional characters to read about and seeing her keen sense of mystery in action is always a pleasure. Although this is not my favourite release to feature her, nor is it in the top ten of Christie's finest works, it was still a fun and fast paced read that was perfect for the summertime!
