i only read through page 102 but with the movie (the old version) and through sparknotes, i don’t think i’ll continue on, but it’s a good read for a 100 pages

the only thing i want to complain about is the writing style because not only his use of dialogue is confusing me but also who’s saying who is also another

Kumalo has to go to go to Johannesburg in search of his son and sister. There, he will find a world of racism and injustice. He will have to struggle between goodness and evil. It is a novel of love and courage.

At the beginning, the English style was a bit disconcerting. However, as I advanced I became used to it. It is a very moving and eye-opener book. Dealing with apartheid, it is nonetheless written by a white man. 

Brilliant and heartwarming.
