this book is incredible!!! i love onegin's character so so much. the story is so tragic and so beautiful, it's definitely the best classic i've read so far. and it was for a class too, so i was pleasantly surprised:) i annotated a Lot because the poetry was just so amazing - i usually don't go for novels in verse since i often find it hard to focus but i had no problem w onegin. 
i could go on and on so i think it's enough to say a bit but. the characters were so intriguing to read about, their chemistry and development too. onegin, lensky and tatyana really made the novel for me.<3

Oh, gods, Pushkin is a true genius. I mean, everybody knows it, but still. I think reading this in school, unlike some other classics, is a very, very right notion. It's just great. 

I don't think Eugene Onegin needs another review, it's a world-known classic. Just going to say that I loved it!

This is the best classic I've ever read. So incredibly witty, fun, charming, heart-breaking, hilarious, wonderful - please stop me before I add even more adjectives. 

This new translation in particular is perfect and combines beauty with flowing rhymes and readability. I loved how Pushkin keeps breaking the fourth wall to comment on his characters, his rhymes, how critics will react - it feels like a post-modern novel when it's actually a novel in verse from Jane Austen's time. I can only gush about how brilliant this is - please do yourself a favor and read it: it's quite short and won't bore you, and has that perfect mixture of heartbreak, humor and wisdom. 

I'm so in love with this. By the way, in case you didn't know: Pushkin was a man of color (his great-grandfather had been black), so if you'd like to read more classics written by people of color then this would be a perfect choice. But also if you simply want to read THE BEST EVER.
