The practical advice in this book is helpful, but where I struggled was when the author diverted from some of my own fundamental beliefs about authenticity at work and in leadership, and the responses she supplied to situations of crying in front of one’s boss or being the boss when your direct report is crying in your office. Aside from those pieces, the book provided some helpful phrasing and perspective.
