I read this book in 2021.. It was really refreshing to see Sita mata being depicted as a warrior! Its a unique book and worth reading for all the Ramayana readers and lovers out there.

What a fluttering piece of mediocrity! This one has managed to be worse than the Shiva trilogy with absolutely mundane characters and insipid dialogues. The Law hasn't been stressed so much even in the Constitution of India.

           The book has Amish's familiar and loved style of blending modern issues with ancient epics, presenting a believable picture of the past but that's about it. For Scion of Ishvaku, the novel loses its appeal for me, maybe because I'm very familiar with how the Ramayan progresses. The major plot is the same as Valmiki's and the twists and metaphors relating it the modern age, while innovative, cannot infuse in the novel what the lack of suspense has stolen from it. Still, a very good read for those not aware of Valmiki's great epic.

It's has an interesting first half, but a terrible second half. The final one third is absolutely forgettable. I don't think I am interested in continuing the series.
