When Kate Mercier's parents are killed in a car accident, she moves to Paris to live with her grandparents. Her only respite from her grief comes from books and art. Through that she meets the handsome and mysterious Vincent Delacroix. As she falls in love with him, she finds out he is a revenant--an undead being that must sacrifice himself time and again to save others. Vincent, and others like him, are locked in a centuries-old battle against evil revenants. Kate knows if she follows her heart, she might never be safe again.
