I really want to like this book, I do and I think the story is quite interesting, but I'm sometimes lost in the narration of Kwan's second life that I found it so long-winding and irrelevant to the rest of the book.

I'll be honest, I had seriously mixed feelings about this particular novel. First of all I was unable to warm up to the narrator, which I suppose was the point, but the problem was I was unable to warm u to the second protagonist, Kwan whom the book focuses on! I think this is because although we are told a lot about her, we still don't really know her. Frankly the most interesting parts of this books were the forays into what Kwan claims to be is her past life. Would have liked much more of that. Not a bad novel, but it failed to engage me.
