This is the autobiography of a youth from rural Zimbabwe who became a worker, a trade union organiser, a student and then a guerilla commander. As a fighter of the "Zimbabwe People's Revolutionary Army" (ZIPRA) he paints a picture of the war in one important region of Zimbabwe.
