I had very high expectations after reading the Lords, and Angel and Sam did not disappoint! This book starts out BRUTAL. Lavinia has been dealt an extremely crappy hand in life. She has been treated as nothing more than a bargaining chip her entire life, and her intro to the Dukes is no different. She's such a fighter, but also you see her internal struggle in seeing herself that way.

Similarly to the Lords, it took me at least halfway through the book to feel like I might not always hate these men. Nick, Sy and Remy all have their own set of unique issues, and Lavinia is both an outlet for those issues as well as eventually being a balm to them. 

This book ends with a lot of open questions and I'm excited to see where this is going. Another home run in the Forsyth series!

“To the Victor goes the Spoils”

They did it again. The Lords Series is one of my absolute favorites and the Dukes is no different. It’s sucks you in and doesn’t let you go until it’s over, and boy is this book THICK 😍

Lavinia is definitely not a weak women. She’s snarky and full of fire. She will not just sit there and let the Dukes (mostly Nick) dictate her, oh no, she’s going to get something out of it too. 

Nick absolutely deserves to have Sy kick him around for what he did. Sy baby 😍🥵 he is my favorite Duke, the man just needs a real women and I’m pretty sure he’s found one. Remy, poor Remy, he’s just so confused and it’s not is fault.
