This book remains my all-time favorite work of Ms. Hunt's. I love the expert manner in which she expertly weaves together a very real scenario with clear, brilliant allegory. These characters almost jump off the page, living, breathing people. However, one cannot help but realize the allegorical nature of the book. When probed, almost everything turns into meaningful allegory which deepens and enriches the narrative.
This book most definitely survives round two of the purge from my personal collection. Not only that, but I also highly recommend this book.
