This book is full of profound truths, full of poetry and thoughtful reflection. As a book about what it means to live in thanksgiving, there is still so much to consider even in our own lives, reflecting upon what we are truly thankful for.

Though I find Voskamp's style of writing beautiful, at times I find it difficult to wade through. Perhaps it served its purpose because I had to take the book slowly. I pondered and meditated on many truths that she expressed and I appreciated her perspective, even if I didn't agree with everything she said. (Then again, I don't always agree with myself, so there is that . . .) I wish Voskamp was a bit more careful with her analogies, but her intent to draw the reader's eyes to a good and gracious God, who is good and gracious in the midst of this broken world, is worthwhile and I would recommend this book to others.
