Cast And Kristin Cast</a> First of all...I love this cover! Kalona is one hot evil, immortal ex-warrior!! And the inside of it is even better! This book had a lot of the two things I love about this series, Stark and Rephaim. This made up for the things that annoyed me, Kramisha's way of speaking, the True Blood &amp; Glee mentions, and if Aphrodite said "For shit's sake!" one more time... But anyway, Stark and Zoe are finally in a place where they can enjoy each other without distractions, and they do exactly that. The moments between them were sweet and sexy. By the end of the book though, they have a whole new set of problems, and they have no idea what's coming. Rephaim and Stevie Ray's relationship is full of longing and I love it. They love each other but they feel there isn't a way for them to be together. I always feel so bad for Rephaim. I want him to be happy!! Looks like they might finally get to have a chance at it though, and the new circumstances will definitely make it interesting. There are some sad moments in this book involving Zoe's circle, and Erik seems to be coming back from douche-landia, that was a plus because I had written him off a couple of books ago. Neferet and Kalona...I can't stand them! How dumb must the High Council be to keep buying her lies?! There is a new, twisty development at the end of the book that I did not expect, so I'm definitely looking forward to Destined.

Zoey is back and we get to see that she is given a slight break from everything that has been going on since like book 2. It fits in with her character that she would try and find some peace and quiet after all that has happened. Story gives you some foreboding foreshadowing that leaves you feeling uneasy knowing something is going to happen to a character we have come to love and know

 Foreboding continues, we know things are going to go bad but we don't quite yet know exactly what.

 The theme of choice is very prominent in this installment and I'm sure the impacts will come into play in the rest of the series.

I originally started reading this last year, but I found the beginning and middle quite tedious. As much as I liked this series, I think it’s dragging on. But the end of the book (last 100 or so pages) was awesome. Definitely some twists I did not expect.

           Wow, I actually sat through the whole book in one day. I guess that's normal for me and HON books but damn this one was crazy! I'm so happy about Stevie Rae getting her man, that's a definite good thing. Also, I loved everything that happened while Zoey and Stark were in Skye it seemed like an awesome place. Hopefully one day Zoey can find her own Skye. 

I disliked the ending a bit, but I'm kind of a amazed at the way that Heath has been boomeranged back into the plot! I hope all works out well for him and the nerd herd as well!

I thought the book was better than O.K but not amazing. One thing I'm not to fond of is the constant changing in character perspectives. It's just so annoying. But I did like Zoey in this book a lot more than in the previous books, I felt as she really came into her own. And she finally found happiness. Well, for the most part anyway. 

Oh, and Heath needs to stay away, and just let James and Zoey be. They are perfect for each other! Over all I did enjoy this book and I will be reading book 9 'Destined'.

There is so many things about this book I just want to tell you but I won't that would be very naughty of me can't spoil it for those who have yet to read it. However, I will try to do this review spoiler free.

Awakened is the eighth installement in the amazing House of Night series. I have been hooked to these books from the first book Marked and I have enjoyed most of them. However, I was a little disappoinment with Tempted and Burned but Awakened is right back on form and the Casts havedelivered a fast paced story line that will make you laugh and cry.

Awakened picks up where Burned Finished. With Zoey and some of her friends on the Isle of Skye recovering from the events of Burned. While the rest are still in Tulsa. With the Cast change in point view we get to read a few of characters thoughts and how they are dealing with the events throughout the book. When the Casts decided to have a few points of views in their books, at first I wasn't sure but now that I am used to it I really like it. What I really liked was how we got to have Jacks point of view. He never really seemed to have a big roll in the books and getting his point to view was great. I love him.

My only negative is that even the Twins and Aphrodite (she is my favourite character, she's a bitch and fabulous) aren't really involved in the story as much as they usually are although it wasn't that much of a negative to stop it being a 5star book.

I promise if you are a fan of this series and haven't read it get right on it. Or if you haven't read any yet what have you been waiting for. It a great series but the magical twist on vampires.

So overall, an excellent installement and I am looking forward to Destined. I am going to leave you with one word:

           This book was alright, I mean there were parts where I was like, seriously Z? You could have gotten the High Council on your side so many times but you didn't even try, and you stayed on Skye way too long for my liking. She should have went home with Aphrodite. Grah, she annoys me.
