I loved the way the book was written with 3 points of view. Getting every characters view of the story was nice.

Whoa. What did I just read? As always when I read Tarryn's books I feel like I have everything figured out and I am COMPLETELY WRONG! 

Told from three different perspectives in three different parts, you learn more about the truth of each character as you keep reading. In part one, I thought I knew what was happening, and then part two totally blew my head out of the water. I kept saying out loud, "What the hell just happened?! Did that really just happen?!' This book will definitely mess with your head a bit if you submit yourself to it. 

I thought the timeline was kind of all over the place. I never really knew when something was happening, or if it had already happened depending on the character that was speaking. I could tell that some of the characters were unreliable narrators and maybe Tarryn wanted it that way, which is fine by me, I just feel like I might need to read it again to get the timeline straight. 

Other than that, this book kept me engaged and enraged the whole damn time.

3 stars from me. There were a few key issues left too vague that stopped this being 4 stars. And I'm a tad confused as to how I should be feeling at the conclusion to this story, which I felt was much more alarming than it was shown to be.

Kudos to the author for not going the normal (view spoiler)[physical violence (hide spoiler)] route with this type of tale though, I was totally expecting it to end differently than it did.

TBH, somewhere in the early chapters I almost gave up reading as I found Fig to be incredibly irritating and so eye-rollingly delusional that I was finding it all so hard to believe. But something changed my mind and kept me reading, which I'm glad for as this is a tale that takes me out of my comfort zone and that's one of my reading goals for 2018. 

I was expecting this to be a (view spoiler)[single POV story, so was shocked at the change of direction when after a large section of hearing Fig's voice it changed to Darius. Then the last section was Jolene. (hide spoiler)] From how Fig was described, I had expected that many of her views of the dynamics between the three of them (Jolene, Darius and herself) were totally off base, only to find out that there was some truth to it as all three of them had varying levels of serious deep rooted issues and that Darius was a total pig.

Lastly, I think that I was supposed to like Jolene. But no, there was something missing in her too for me.
