Made up of 225 square meters of carpet, French artist Bertrand Lavier's recent installation "Composition en Quatre Couleurs, D tail" breaks up and reconceives a familiar pattern: the lines that make up a basketball court. This new monograph features this and related pieces by Lavier, whose works thwart the viewer's optical expectations.
