Absolutely love the concept of this book I think it’s super cute and realistic to the troubles that we all faced during 2020 Covid lockdown. Even though I like the different perspectives from all of the groups of people within the story. I did have my favorites that I felt like I wanted to gravitate towards more and didn’t feel like I had a connection to some of the characters which made me feel like almost skimming there sections . Even though I think this book was super cute and I enjoyed reading it and it was a good quick read I did give it only 3 1/2 just because compared to other books I’ve read that I’ve given four stars or higher ratings too  I didn’t feel like it gave what other books made me feel.

talk about a book putting things in perspective!!! 

2 years after covid has been a thing and reading about those first weeks about what it was, what it could be. 

I'm also very happy that my lockdown partner was my dog and dad and none of the scenarios in the book.

I found the characters very refreshing and true. I liked how realistic the lockdowns in each apartment were and i would definitely read a sequel about where each couple and apartment are at in the future

The inhabitants of London Lane are stuck inside for the week as someone in the building has tested positive for the virus that put them in a pandemic. From Ethan and Charlotte being stuck on opposite sides of the door to Isla and Danny's new relationship being put to the test and a one night stand being extended for an extra six days, everyone in (and out) the building is being tested as friendships are tested and everyone is pushed to extreme high and lows. The only constant thing about everything in their lives is the fact that life is full of surprises.

This is an excellent book that has perfect timing as we seal with out own pandemic. The best part is even though there are a ton of characters going through this, they are not only well rounded, but they also have clear distinct voices that not only make it easy to tell who's speaking but help us to understand the characters even more. 

As they navigate being quarantined at the beginning of a pandemic, it reminds e of when COVID first shut us down and we all were left wondering what was happening and how long it was going to last. Now looking back as we are hopefully coming closer to the end of the pandemic (Though that may not be for well past a couple months), things are a lot different than any of us expected and it's easy to assume the same thing will happen with these characters as well and I can probably guess how each of them will react as things happen and as new mandates are put out (Or retracted)

           What a read indeed. 

As I mentioned in my mid-book review on Instagram, I never thought I'd be reading books about the trials and tribulations of COVID-19... like I most of the time read to escape... and those I was reading about some entirely different situations (that thankfully, I didn't have to experience) I never dreamt of escaping my reality to read of someone else's "not-so-fictional" reality... Beth Reekles should have classified this book as a Historical Fiction, technically speaking. 

I'm deciding to give it 4/5 stars instead 5/5 stars, because though I could pick up some contemporary romance vibes, I definitely was expecting a more catastrophic breakup to emerge from the outbursts that occurred. I also would have loved for the text to be a bit longer, seeing as how just a week in lockdown hasn't even been the worst of it. Regardless it was a great read and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to take a sneak glance/read-through of it, in accordance with BookishFirst, Beth Reekles, and WattPad Books.

For the fact that this book took me back to the very first week of Lockdown, which was filled which uncertainty and just bad news in general, this book was a delightful read.
I’d absolutely recommend it if you are a fan of media in episodic form such as movies like “Love, Actually” “Valentine’s Day or “Happy New Year”.

The interlinked stories of the residents in the Apartment Building and their relations to one another was fun to discover throughout the book. While I did have my favourites in the book, and found other characters a tad irritating, I thought it was very well balanced.

And although I do understand that the book is sort of a manifest of the super strange times we are all living in, I could have done without all the very contemporary pop culture references made by some characters.

I absolutely enjoyed this book. The writing was really good and it got me thinking about all the stories that probably went on in my building while we were on lockdown. This book had me laughing a whole lot. A super feelgood read for any day of the week!
