I have a feeling Marion didn’t let you be there for him back then 

Tom stopped at the door and looked back at me, his eyes glowing with anger. "He needed me years ago, Marion," he said. And he let himself out of the room.

Julia Said something awful today about Patrick.

That was just mean Marion and unnecessary

Julia stood up, and I noticed for the first time that her hands were trembling. In a very quiet voice, she said, "Please don't say those things, Marion. They're just not true."

I really really enjoyed this book! There’s one part in particular that really stuck out me. When Tom first takes Marion to meet Patrick at the museum. She mentions how they had arrived early to meet him, and mentions how Tom was always perfectly on time when meeting with her for their swimming lessons. I thought this was a great way to show that Tom was excited to see Patrick and was falling in love with him, hence why he was early. But with Marion, he was only just on time, because she was more of an obligation, not a romantic interest.

Well this was certainly a tragedy. It’s not really a happy ending and I think that Marion did not really excuse anything. I get why she did it but she should have thought it through more before she acted how she did. Apart from that it’s a great book that I enjoyed to read
