I really enjoyed this teju cole immersed himself in the places he travels finding the blind spots we miss in these places. In Switzerland the serenity and peace hides a booming arms manufacturing industry, in Beirut historical monuments hide deep scars and anti blackness in the community and so on and so on. If i ever visit any of these places i will remember how he saw them and try to see them in that context.
