This was actually pretty enjoyable! It's more a collection of short horror stories, only one or two pertaining to the undead. I've always loved short horror stories, so this one pleasantly surprised me. The pacing of them is a little slow, likely a generational reading style difference, but most of them have good bones of irony in them. 

There is one, however, that I suggest you skip if you dislike racism or animal cruelty as it bothered me. That story is The Squaw. I imagine you can gather just from the title of the story how the racism plays into it. True, the main characters get what's coming to them in the end, but it wasn't worth putting up with the racism for it.

All in all, a fun little read. I recommend giving it a oncer if you like old horror stories.
