Since then, they have fallen from grace and have to live with the consequences. Grace saved Daniel from that curse...but lost her brother to it in the process. Jude’s left home. Oh, also? She was infected herself. Awesome! (Not.) I love Grace and Daniel together. You can just feel how strongly he loves her. But things start to change when Grace wants to learn to use her powers for good and to try to find Jude, but the people in her life think is too risky, including Daniel. Not only does he not want to help her train anymore, he’s been dodgy and keeping things from Grace lately. Enter Talbot, sexy cowboy, fighter of evil, trainer extraordinaire. He basically gives Grace everything every one’s restricted her on: training, using her powers to kill demons, and looking for Jude. She is continually drawn and tempted by him, especially since he makes his interest in her fairly obvious. But our Grace will not fall that easily, folks!! Go, Grace! This book is pretty heavy at times, but best friend April sure had some great lines that made me laugh! She keeps it from going over the edge, that’s for sure. I seriously could not stop listening to this audiobook! The narrator, Eileen Stevens, is completely amazing. Her voice and pacing were spot on! I also thought she sounded familiar, and it turns out I have listened to her before! She’s read another favorite series of mine, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0061779814/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=gonwitthewor-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=217145&amp;creative=399369&amp;creativeASIN=0061779814" rel="nofollow noopener">The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting</a>! The ending was unexpected! I was sure of who the bad guy was and what everyone’s intentions were, but I guessed wrong, guys! I absolutely loved these books. They had an awesome mix of paranormal, romance and everyday life to not only make them believable, but to draw in anyone from page one.

In the Dark Divine, you meet Grace Divine, average everyday artist girl. She's a pastor's daughter, and living within that lifestyle. You also meet Daniel, a troubled teen from Grace's childhood and her one true love. These two characters just dragged you into the book. Between their relationship with each other and Daniel's dark past, I was completely enthralled with this series from book one.

Bree Despain has quite a knack for making you fall in love with her characters and she kept me turning the pages. There is a nice twist in the first book, that I sort of saw coming, but I can say I was shocked with the outcome. I love the way the whole book rode along through the despair and heartache in Daniel's life, but it wasn't overwhelming.

In The Lost Saint, we have the same cast of characters with a couple of new faces. I won't go into to much detail plot-wise, since I'm not one for spoilers, but the story just keeps getting better. There is a new character named Talbot in this book, that I just adored. Everything about him just makes you love him. I love that the author mixed everything up a bit throwing him into the mix. He's very different from the other characters in the book and he definitely makes this interesting. Once again Bree Despain through in a twist with this one, I saw things coming, but there was a lot that surprised me.

I definitely enjoyed reading both of these books and I can't wait for another installment. I know there has to be more. She can't just leave it where she did. I loved the characters, the story line and the writing in both books. Plus, who doesn't love a hot paranormal boys.

I still can't believe that it took me so long to get to The Lost Saint. I mean, I really loved Bree Despain's first book. Grace and Daniel stole the show for me, and all I wanted to know was what would come next. After doing a reread of the first book (and swooning all over again) I was ready to tackle and devour the second I knew I was in for a treat.

For those of you who haven't started this series yet, Grace had to make a huge sacrifice to save Daniel. In other words, she loves this boy to death. So you can imagine my utter annoyance when Daniel suddenly starts treating Grace like she has the plague. Let's be honest. I knew it was a plot device. I understood that it was necessary to allow a new guy to come into the story. That doesn't mean I liked it though. Daniel's behavior drove me crazy.

The good part about all of that is Grace is allowed to show her true colors once again. Despain allows the reader to see how strong a person Grace really is. Sure, she's a teenager. Yes, she makes mistakes. Still, it is that she stands up for herself that makes her so likable. I wasn't always happy with her decisions, but I was always glad that she made them herself. Even with Daniel being odd in the background, I liked Grace a lot in this book.

In terms of plot, The Lost Saint brings a lot of new information into play for these starcrossed lovers. I loved the in depth explanations that were given about the Urbats and their history. I also had no problem eating up Talbot's story as well. I wouldn't say that this plot moves as lightning fast as the first book did. However it is paced in a way that will keep you reading on. Each time I had a question, it would be answered a few pages later. It made for a very immersive read.

If you've already started The Dark Divine Series, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at what is waiting for you between the pages of the The Lost Saint! More Grace, more Daniel, more dark twists and turns. This is the book that you've been waiting for.
