 In a world of fiction where zombie apocalypse novels very rarely make the cut, Keene is out here proving that you can take the zombie genre, spin it in a different direction and still come out on the winning side and i totally applaud him for that.



While it did take me a while to get into this book because ummm (view spoiler)[demon zombies (hide spoiler)] really wasn't something i was ready to get on board with (still not sure about that part of the book really), and it did feel a bit like okay dude you're more than stretching this now, if you don't think about it too hard, it's really not all that bad plus i do and did like the idea of (view spoiler)[thinking (hide spoiler)] flesh eaters.

For me, Keene keeps pushing the envelope on what we know of the traditional zombie genre and while this book isn't as great as Dead Sea (Seriously read this book if you haven't already) it still manages to be way better than your typical zombie novel and that alone makes this book worth a read.
