I was actually surprised of how much I actually loved this book, or more specifically, how much I love Damir. We got a slight insight of how he was in book one and while it thrilled me reading about someone so dark and twisted, I thought it was just gonna be a sugarcoated forced love story, where the main man kidnapped and abuses the victim. But this was so much better, and purer and while it had some twisted moments, it’s exactly what the main girl needs, and what the main man wants to give.


“Strange ideas a kidnapper has about honor.” He comes toward me, closing the gap, his eyes sparking like a tiger giving chase. “Maybe you shouldn’t think of it as a kidnapping. Maybe you should think of it as an emergency rescue, because how happy were you, really, before you met me?”

Bethany, our main girl, fits Damir to perfection. They are a perfect pair and while I got a bit ehhh at one part, it was clear that Bethany really didn’t mind anything to be honest. This was a well written, all of Brianna’s books are, exciting, keep you on your toes, book and god I did not think I would love this couple as much as I did. It’s such a good read.
