I love Paulo Coelho’s books but this was a DNF for me. Brida is on the path to become a witch. The problem I have is that you cannot consolidate someone who practices witchcraft and the Bible. They cannot go together. You cannot bring biblical beliefs and practices into witchcraft and vice versa. I tried to keep an open mind but when they kept twisting the Bible for their own beliefs, I could not continue. I was generous with this rating.

This book was something different to everything I've read before. Such a beautiful story. The way it's written is perfect. The lesson it teaches about love, is so beautiful as well as the ending. Would definitely recommend.

paulo disappointed me for choosing a nonsense story to demonstrate some of his beliefs and ideas i found the plot rather boring and touched some OK ideas he wanted to tell. he has a talent in just one thing his a good writer and have a style but ... sorry no good or even important plots . that's all

This is the second Paulo Coelho book and just like the Alchemist I really enjoyed it! It was a bit strange to read about how witches respect Christianity and the teachings of the Bible;-)
