I'm so angy at this book. I'M SO ANGRY.
I won't even try to write a proper review right now. I'm just so disappointed and pissed.
I didn't even have unreasonable expectations for this book. I didn't go into this expecting a mind blowing plot or complex character development (not that a book for a teen audience could never be complex). But all I wanted was a fluffy, sweet teen romance and a trans girl being treated right. Really, that's it.
But apparently, that's too much to ask for.
Now, I'm cis, so I can't speak for trans people and their impressions of this book, but I hated it.
I couldn't even bear to finish the last couple chapters because I didn't want to see Jamie end up with someone who treated her so badly the whole book. Maybe I'll finish it later, maybe not.
Jamie deserved so much more.
