I was lucky enough to recieve an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

After many months of not reading fantasy, this book was a great way to get back into the genre. I really enjoyed Candace's writing style and her characters. I appreciated that she didn't throw too much information at us all at once in terms of world-building - made it easier to digest. The way the world is set up is similar to many other fae worlds, like ACOTAR, but Candace put a bit of a spin on it which I really enjoyed too.
I loved how Candace fused the real world with the fae world.
I really enjoyed Avery & Julie's friendship - it felt very real and I loved watching it grow as Avery started to learn about the fae world she had never known. Cillian... dark-haired mysterious man... count me in! I love the way he interacted with Avery and her friends and that it didn't feel rushed as it does in some stories.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more in the future.
