This book is the one that made me want to read the series in the first place, which ended up in my favor. And I was right to hope for this book because I enjoyed it so much.
One thing that tripped me up was how different it was from the rest of the series, how it has almost nothing to do with calling or texting or anything like that. I expected them texting on the bus from a case of wrong number only to find out they're texting each other, but the only hint of digital was the FMCs travel and jewelry blog.
Despite my surprise, it was still super fun.
I enjoyed how, unlike the other two in the series, there were more diverse background characters, such as the MMC having a bisexual best friend, and it being accepted without so much as a blink of an eye, and the talk about the casual ableism in common phrases that many people don't even bat an eye at.
The ending, where (view spoiler)[the MMC had to speed by on a bike to distract the FMCs rival and ask for an autograph just so she can get to the interview before him(view spoiler)[ actually made me a little nervous.
A question I had though was, (view spoiler)[if the famous woman who was being interviewed could tell that the FMC was losing her love of traveling how could she not pick up that the FMC's rival was superficial?(view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

This was the best one hands down, or was it? They’re all too good ahh! Idk, but I loved it so so much and just ughhhh I can’t anymore with the cuteness overloads

Also…it was narrated by Zachary Webber, so…bonus points 🤌

Seatmate by Cara Bastone is the third installment in her Love Lines series and, while I haven’t read the rest and this is a new-to-me author, I’m certain that I will be working through her backlist in time. The writing is clear and concise and, trust me, you might be a reader, but you’re going to feel every pothole on this bumpy ride.

As always, I enjoy Bastone's stories so much! Especially when I just need to get a good read in while I work. This quirky and hilarious audio book will have you laughing out loud with the characters. I loved that it was a cast. Definitely looking forward to read more by Bastone.
