Yeah, we know what I am going to say, but what the hell kind of cliffhanger was that? After everything we have been through, how this all began, you do that to THAT character! Yeah, I needed to start the last book as soon as I closed this one. Which I did because I could not function until I knew what happened. Obviously, I can't say more than that, and I won't be like Sin using our secret language to do the opposite of what I said. I will say you should read this and not even Sin could confuse that... I think.

One of the things I love most about the Darkmore Penitentiary spin-off is the fact that it really showcases the weird, depraved nooks and crannies of Caroline and Susanne's sisterly hive mind. 

We got a LOT more of Sin Wilder's delightful nonsense in book 3, and I think the majority of what I highlighted was on behalf of Sin. We also got a hilarious (yet traumatizing) Plunger scene featuring some very unlucky potatoes, which I read aloud to my boyfriend and traumatized him as well. He'll be fine. 

I loved that book 3 picked up exactly where book 2 left off, and the pacing was well-maintained via the ominous countdown to the FIB's arrival to the prison. We still got multi-POV (including sweet Hastings), which is my favorite way to read because I'm always dying to know what each character is thinking and feeling at all times. I think Rosalie really solidified her alpha-among-alphas status in Feral Wolf, as her men slowly but surely begin to fully defer to her in all decision making and planning. Even Sin, eventually. 

There was a lot of character growth here, especially regarding Sin Wilder and his background, which went a long way in explaining why he is the way he is. Same re: Cain. 

As always, the spice was absolutely excellent, chef's kiss, fantastic. Multiple group scenes, and some delicious sword crossing as well. DEVASTATED at the cliffhanger, and I cannot wait for the next installment.
