Dragon's Lair is a story that I was pretty excited for. I recently discovered this author and was hooked instantly. And when reading her latest novel "Seducing The Defendent", we get introduced into the Wind Dragon's MC and I wanted more of these sexy devils. So I decided to grab up Dragon's Laird and I am so glad that I did. This book is quite frankly a fun wild ride.

The story sets off with our heroine. We see her as just a teenager really, who quickly falls for the boy who always had time for her. Now she is going to college as a law student and when she discovers that her current boyfriend for years has been cheating on her she breaks off her ties with him. And she has a one night stand with the one boy who has always had her heart, but is more bad boy than ever and is also VP of the Wind Dragons MC. Now she discovers that she is pregnant, her parents have kicked her out and she is one the run until he discovers the truth and finds her and brings her back to his club.

Now I want to say that I LOVED this book, and even though I really enjoyed reading this one, not exactly on my top list of MC romances to read to be honest. I had a few issues with the book. The first being our heroines actions to hide the truth from Dex. I really have issues with this element in romance. You can understand her reasoning, in a way. She isn't sure about the type of man Dex is....but enough to have sex with him but not trust him enough to tell him the truth? And there were other actions she committed that didn't ring true for me. I was almost like "huh? really. So our hero was way more enjoyable to read but still not up to par for what I was expecting. I really wanted more background and depth to his character that I did feel was lacking at times. I did enjoy this MC though and I was really intrigued by many of the supporting cast that we are introduced to here. And boy there were some pretty lively moments that made up for those lacking ones.

Overall though this story was pretty highly entertaining, and even though I had a few issues, I truly enjoyed many moments of this story that introduces us to these sexy Wind Dragon boys and I am wanting more for sure!!
Dexter Black turned my world upside down, but then he gave me his. And his world is where I want to be, as long as he's right there by my side

Chantal Fernando definitely knows how to write about sinfully MC bikers. She has create a whole new MC series that it will leave you wanting more. Dragon's Lair is totally addicting that you are desperately waiting for other books in the series. In Dragon's Lair, we get to read about sinfully MC bikers that you are already planning your book boyfriend. 
Faye is looking for revenge sex since she catch her no good boyfriend cheating. And she found the perfect bad boy to have sex, Dex. Dex is dead drop sexy men. He is more willing to have sex with Faye since she is a gorgeous women. They have known each other since childhood that the attraction has always been there. Faye has only looking for sec from Dex that she knew she will not see him again. However, something unexpected happen that she is tie with Dex forever. She is pregnant! Their journey is going to be very bumpy but it will have so many romantic moments and hilarious moments.

★Review★

I really did like this, but in all honesty it read a bit like "Carry on Biker"

However, it was enjoyable and as long as you do not take it so seriously then it is a fun read.

Faye was funny, sarcastic and had a tendency to speak before she thought. I did like her, but at times it felt like that was all she was, all there was too her.

Would have liked more from Dex and more from the actual MC side of things.

However, it had a great cast of secondary characters, who you just hope get their own books - like Arrow for one. 

Overall, it was a good read, however, it never got too in depth with anything. A fair few months pass in the book, and a lot happens, but it never got too detailed. It felt almost at times, like reading a list of things that should happen in an MC book. 

I found myself wanting more, more about her relationship with her parents, and some closure on that, more from their past history as kids (she is twenty) and though it is mentioned she had a crush on him, he was always too old for her, it never says how old she is, wanted more closure with her ex.

But, overall, it is a non taxing, light enjoyable read that can pass a couple of hours, and leave you wanting to read more of the brothers of the MC.

Overall Dragon's Lair was a pretty good story. Set in an MC, it had the requisite bad boy hooking up with the girl next door, literally. It seemed, especially in the beginning of the story, there was a lot of narration telling about what was going on rather than allowing the reader to experience it. Also, there wasn't one central problem in the story that was resolved at the end, leaving the climax and the ending rather anticlimactic. Several story lines were also left unattended - Dax's mother; Dax's brother, Eric; Dax's ex-wife; and the rival MC just to name a few. Since this is the beginning of the series, I'm sure some of these will appear in later books, but the next book does not center around the two main characters of this book, Dax and Faye. It will be interesting to see how Fernando reconciles some of these plot elements in later books.
