This book by Charles MacKay from 1841 is the first to record the history of speculation hypes or financial bubbles worldwide. The Dutch Tulipomania is the first one ever documented. During the last century this popular book was reprinted numerously, especially after the Wall Street Crash of 1929 and the internet and e-commerce bubble of recent years.
