Before being sentenced to three life terms for the murder of Bristol newly-wed Shirley Banks in April 1989, John Cannan boasted of over a hundred one-night stands. Drawing on the psychological profiling knowledge developed in America by the FBI and a correspondence with Cannan, this work provides a portrait of a complex and intelligent man.
