I simply CANNOT say enough good things or praise author Lisa Suzanne. I've been reviewing her books since her debut novel, and since then she's only gotten better. 
Conflicted may not sit well with me, story wise, but content, flow, characters and the romance between them is always SPOT ON. 
There's something about forbidden romances that just get people hooked - especially in a loveless marriage. 

Lucy Cleary loves her job as an executive assistant. But when her boss retires and his son, Cole Benson takes his place, Lucy has the chills. He's drop dead gorgeous, only problem is he's rude, arrogant, and pretty mean. But Lucy's not going to let him stop her from doing a job she knows she's good at. 
Although she's attracted to her boss, she is married and unhappy. Her husband spends more time at work than with her and pays her very little attention. So she can't help but feel conflicted about her new boss who drives her wild. 
Lucy believes her feelings are just a fantasy, and then something changes in Cole. Something she didn't expect. And Lucy is faced with a decision that will shape her future. 

Let me get this out of the way and say I DON'T support cheating, on your spouse or partner or significant other. So this book didn't sit well with me content wise, but that isn't fair to say it isn't a fantastic read. (Thank God for Suzanne and her one shots). I'm not saying you should stay in a loveless marriage, but cheating just...is a big no no for me. 

Conflicted is exactly what it is, a confliction of feelings between being married and loyal and feeling the fire and passion for someone you shouldn't have feelings for. It is unfortunate that the divorce rate in North America is so disgustingly high and that significant others usually change after marriage. No one said you had to be unhappy in your marriage - the opposite actually. And Lucy clearly makes an effort to make it work (you can't say she didn't try) and it's not like she welcomed Cole with open arms. She knew it was wrong and fought it, but it isn't easy when you made vows to love someone (It's not her fault that the other person didn't keep up their end). 

Cole Benson is perfect. Too perfect like all of Suzanne's male leads. Maybe that's why we love her books so much. 
Cole is the perfect combination of a rude and arrogant prick, with a bigger heart than you can imagine. (Not to mention sexy as all hell and passionate too). He's the kind of guy you love to hate and hate to love. He's just as conflicted as Lucy only because he knows better. 

Conflicted was captivating, romantic, as well as an emotional struggle that Lucy handled like a champ. The kind of book you hate that you love. All of Suzanne's books are absolute page turners, easy reads that you can't put down. You're never disappointed with one of her books.
