Cop Town is well written and it has a good story. It's just that some of the characters and the overall societal situation are so icky that it was hard to enjoy it.

I kept getting told to read this book and FUCK I see why. It is sooo good. It's set in 1975 Atlanta and the police force during that time. It's hard to read at times, due to the racism, homophobia, and sexism that occurs on page.. but it's done SO WELL.

The twists and turns are very methodical and god Karin Slaughter can develop a character. Absolutely outstanding novel. If you love crime novels and haven't given this a read I ENCOURAGE YOU to give it a go!

First half of the book took forever. I enjoyed the second half. 

One thing drove me crazy... when the two main characters were together, the story would be told from the perspective of one and then would switch, one sentence later, to be from the perspective of the other. It was incredibly distracting and annoying.
