4.5⭐️ Honestly…i don’t even know how to review or rate this. All I know is that the only place the author ever held back was on that ending, but everything else, absolutely ruthless. It took me about three attempts to pick up and finish this book because of how intensely dark it is. The trigger warning list needs no list other than to let you know that they’re all on there. This book is not for anyone attempting to dip their toes in any form of dark romance/erotica/horror or just anything dark for their first time. This is for a well seasoned dark reader in my opinion. I enjoyed the fact that i constantly wanted to find redeeming qualities in our main male character but equally wanted his demise and fall to be just as bad as this character. The alternating timelines were a bit confusing at times, but I’m also just not the biggest fan of time jumps. I am however glad that the time jumps were there as a reprieve for all the horrible stuff that goes down. I’m a bit conflicted about the ending because i think it was a bit of a cop out but I’m not necessarily mad at the ending either, I would’ve been okay if it would’ve ended 40-50 pages sooner and just left me in despair.

There’s many chapters where a whole lotta nothing happens. 

You’d get used to reading the past chapters back to back, finally getting somewhere in the story then boom… you’re reading the present day chapters and it takes you out of the rhythm.

After all that happened, I’m relieved there was some kind of happy ending even though I didn’t like how it played out. 

It was very much like the cliche “AND THEN I WOKE UP AND IT WAS ALL A DREAM” ass ending.

If I could go back in the past, I would stop myself from reading this.

Not only was it hard to get through because of how dark it was but also because it dragged A LOT.

You’d get used to reading the past chapters back to back, finally getting somewhere in the story then boom… you’re reading the present day chapters and it takes you out of the rhythm.
