This series will never cease to impress me with the constant message that as scary as the monsters are, the true terror is the state of humanity that causes these monsters to exist. 
It was really fun to see Ciri and Yennefer in this volume (and this volume also had the most material that was used in the tv series, which was also fun to see) although I really don't like Yennefer, she really bothers me with her manipulation and her need for power. Now that I think about it, Geralt had far from a starring role in this volume
