this book!!! following two separate timelines, one in the past and one in the present, there are two very interesting and intertwined stories. personally i enjoyed emma's timeline more and all the exciting things going on during her summer on the small island in michigan. i took off half a star because some parts were a little tedious due to dumb decisions the characters had made, but i very much enjoyed this book for the most part (emma being a character especially close to my heart) very similar to love and gelato which i loved!!
