I am absolutely fascinated by Julian Assange. After watching "The Fifth Estate" on the day of its release, I bought this book the very next day. It's such an important read. Assange has changed the world in such a way that affects people internationally, irregardless of who they are. 

This book is an absolute page turner. It does not dwell on Assange's upbringing, but jumps straight into the drama and the stories of individuals who are pivotal to Assange's tale. One person particularly affected me - Bradley Manning. His story is told in such a way that he becomes someone you want to hug hard, and for a very long time. He is not, in my eyes, a bad person. Neither is Assange, nor Edward Snowden. It talks of what is in the leaked documents in detail, but not boringly so. The authors have created a really well written account of everything that unfurled with Wikileaks. 

By bringing the process of whistleblowing to the forefront of international media outlets, Assange has created a new wave of activism that will only grow with the development of new technologies. This book explains only the beginning.
