Coming from watching the series, I'm happy to say I've become a fan. I don't read graphic novels so I'm glad this was my first. The art is unique, the characters are all very obviously flawed but extremely interesting, and I just love me some badass teenagers... even if they might make really stupid mistakes.

This was super dark and messed up but I loved it! I think the story is intriguing and I love how different the art style is. Pumped for the next volume!

i'm just going to watch the show instead of reading the comics because i honestly find the show more enticing than the comics although the show has its own issues aside from the franchise

notes from my notes app (12/25/22)
- the main character is just a very sadistic person and i just can't click with him every time
- honestly, i'm probably going to watch the show instead of continuing on with reading this comic
- there's a lack of character development (meaning that it just needs more; more of marcus and every other character pretty much) and reasoning behind every single thing
- it doesn't feel like the plot really connects with anything for some reason, it just feels like the plot is just about these group of teen assassins just making a scheme to kill people that hurt them
- the way that the writer and the illustrators are constructing the love triangle is a bit peculiar

+ the only thing i want to say that's good is how diverse the book is

A bit weird, but fun and dark. Probably the most interesting written acid trip I have ever read.

Basically only read this because I saw the actress Lana Condor being casted for a role in what I thought was going to be the movie adaptation but is now a tv series. The synopsis intrigued me and made me wonder why I hadn't read it yet. This is basically about kids from the wrong side of the streets or kids that come from a violent background that get sent to or invited to this assassin academy. It has a strong 80's atmosphere which is something I enjoy. 
Unfortunately I didn't enjoy this that much. I don't think there was anything particularly wrong with this volume I just don't feel like it was for me. I am interested in more of the assassin academy aspect but it wasn't that involved in this volume and I felt like there was just too much drama in this volume for me and I found myself rushing through the volume just to finish it. 
I'm not sure if I'd continue reading the series but I may consider watching the adaptation.
Since those are my feelings I don't feel comfortable rating this. I just didn't like it but that does not mean I wouldn't recommend it to those who I feel like would like this.

I love how this comic world feels...it has this cool edgy characters and debates about 80's music, but it also brings some kind of realness behind all of this assasin school setting and I have to see what happens next.
(I have a feeling that I'm gonna be more of a Marcus and Saya shipper.)

It was good and enjoyable, looking forward to actually reading more of this to see what happens with Marcus. The characters were really relatable, especially the high school setting.
